Yesterday, Caitilyn and I headed out for a day full of sightseeing. We started at the Southwark Cathedral which is the oldest gothic cathedral in London. The inside was amazing, but sadly we weren't allowed to take pictures. We didn't get to spend too much time inside because there was a special service there today. Outside of the church is the Borough Market. Literally it was heaven! It was a market selling every type of food imaginable. Everything just smelled amazing and we got to try a lot of samples. Afterwards we walked along the Thames and saw a random boat and walls of an old castle. We ended up at the Tate Modern where we got to see some Monet, Jackson Pollock, and Picasso. The building itself was amazing too because it used to be a power station. After, we walked across the Millennium Bridge and walked over to the Leadenhall Market. It was used as Diagon Alley in Harry Potter, so Caitilyn and I were super excited to get some pictures. That whole area of London closes early on saturday so it was nice to be able to get some pictures without a huge crowd.
