First weekend in London!

It is still a shock that I am here in London by myself.  I keep feeling like I am about to meet up with my parents soon.  My first couple days here have consisted of a lot of errands.  I came over here with one towel and two facecloths and tiny toiletries.  A group of us headed to Primart to get towels and the store can only be described as an H&M on crack.  We are definitely making another trip there when we don't have large bags to carry.  We also went to Boots to get all of our toiletries and I was pleasantly surprised that they had most of my products.

One of the most surprising parts of Regent's college is how cool the RA's are.  It seems weird coming from UNH to be headed to the bar with multiple RA's.  They are always offering ideas for great restaurants and are constantly inviting all of us to bars and clubs.

On Saturday night, Regent's rented a boat to take us on a cruise along the Thames.  We were told to dress to impress so we all put on some fun party dresses and headed out for a fun night.  The top floor was for dancing with an open deck to take in all the sights.  The bottom floor was for the bar and lots of tables.  It was a lot of fun and gave us all a chance to meet more people in our program.

The next day, Caitliyn, Sophia, Kayla, and I woke up early and headed out for a day full of sight seeing.  Regent's park is beautiful and provides lots of picture taking opportunities as soon as you leave the dorm.  We took the tube to Picadilly Circus and then wandered around the city.  We walked through China town, went shopping in some amazing stores, found ourselves in Trafalgar square, and then ended the day at Big Ben.  I am pretty impressed with my ability to still navigate the tube well and have been put in charge of directing our group around the city.  This is a long way from how it was when I would travel to London with my family!

I can't wait to explore the city more during this next couple of months!  Today was my first day of class and I woke up bright and early to grab breakfast before my 9 am Theatre class.  I can not wait for this class because we will be seeing 8 plays!  The admission is all apart of the tuition, so I am super glad I registered for this class.  My next class isn't until two and the buildings are super easy to navigate to find all the rooms.  All the buildings are connected so I don't even need to wear a coat to class or worry about when it rains.  I also basically have no excuse for being late since everything is under a five minute walk from my dorm room.
