This week was quite eventful in London. My friends and I decided to do a Secret Valentine swap for Valentine's Day. I received some amazing vegan cupcakes that I am taking a very long time to eat. The one covered in nuts was quite yummy!
Yesterday, for my British Homes class I went to Osterley Park. The house was absolutely gorgeous! The interiors were designed by Robert Adams, so we got to see a lot of pastels and well decorated, neoclassical rooms. The house had been visited by Elizabeth I and can also be seen in The Young Victoria, The Duchess, and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises. It was hard to believe that this was a house for a middle class family! Robert Adams designed much of the furniture, but the house also contains a lot of Chippendale pieces.

After I got home from Osterley Park, I headed to the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. We saw a production of A Midsummer's Night Dream. The play itself was very interesting, but the theatre was gorgeous. The interiors were designed by Frank Matchem and were saved from another building.
