Windsor Castle

Today, Caitilyn, Allie, and I went to Windsor Castle.  Its a little outside of London, so we had to take a train from Paddington and then switch at Slough to go to Windsor.  The town was so pretty and was exactly what you would expect to find around a castle.  We were all really excited when we saw that the flag was up onto of Windsor Castle meaning the queen was there.  I guess she goes to the castle on the weekends to walk her dogs a lot.  We couldn't take pictures inside of the royal apartments but they were so amazing and gorgeous.  I'm so glad I went, because the castle was so beautiful.

Westminister Abbey

Yesterday, Caitilyn and I headed over to Westminister Abbey.  It was a beautiful day, which meant that area was full of tourists.  The church was just as pretty as I remembered it and we ended up staying for the Evensong.  It was basically like mass without the eucharist and we got to sit right next to the choir in the special wooden seats.  Afterwards, we to see 10 Downing Street, where the Prime Minister lives, and then we walked down along the Thames.  Next,  we walked next to Parliament and over to The Tate Britain which had an interesting mix of art work.  We ended the day at an Indian restaurant.  I'm now a fan of Indian food and we will definitely be going back sometime soon.
