The Red House

Yesterday, I went to the Red House with my English Homes class.  It was quite the journey since we had to take the tube and an overground train.  The house was owned by William Morris and was designed especially for him.  The house has been changed a bit, but it was nice being able to see some of his original designs.  His wallpaper covered many walls and his stained glass was still in the windows.  I really liked his hand-stamped wallpaper, but it is super expensive.  They had catalogs to flip through in one of the room.  All I could think about whenever I saw wallpaper in the room was how hard it would be to take it all down!

Next week is midterms, which will be my least favorite time in London.  Then I am off to Italy and I am sure I will have far too many pictures when I get back!
