Easter Weekend

The Saturday before Easter I went to the Oxford Cambridge Regatta.  It was the 185th race and definitely one for the record books.  Right after the boats past the area where I was watching, the race was stopped.  A person was actually swimming in the Thames, which meant for the second time in history the race had to be restarted.  After the restart, Oxford had been in the lead the entire race but after a collision with Cambridge lost an oar.  Because of that, Cambridge won which brought their wins to 81 with Oxford's 76.   After the boat race, Bre, her sister Cali, and I went on a Jack the Ripper tour.  I had no idea that the area that Mark and I had walked around during his visit to London was the area that all the murders took place.  Our guide was amazing and I really enjoyed walking around London while getting a history lesson.

On Monday,  we had no class so Bre, Cali, and I headed over to Buckingham Palace.  We took some pictures outside and then headed over to the Queen's Gallery.  The exhibit was about the explorations of Antarctica and featured some AMAZING photography.  We had our tickets validated so Bre and I can go see the Leonardo Exhibit in a couple weeks for free!  After the Gallery we went over to the Royal Mews, which is where they keep the horses and carriages.  We saw some really pretty horses and some of the most famous carriages.  We even saw the carriage Princess Diana rode in to her wedding!
