On Wednesday I went to Eltham Palace with my English Homes class. It used to be a Tudor palace, but the only surviving part is the Great Hall. The rest of the house is Art Deco, which is quite the contrast. The home was owned by the Courtland Family, same family that owned the Courtland Gallery. THe house was quite an odd mix of styles, but definitely worth the track out to Eltham.
